Sailing
Yachting designates sailing activity for recreational purposes and the use of boats for sporting purposes. A yacht is a
recreational boat, often of a luxury variety. The term comes from the Dutch Jacht meaning "hunt". Currently, the term
designates two rather different classes of watercraft, sailing and power boats. Yacht lengths generally range from 20 feet
up to hundreds of feet. A luxury craft smaller than 40 feet is more generally called a cabin cruiser or simply "cruisers".
